Great functionality, poor optimization

Come on, google! I love your cloud and app system, I create all my documents in Google Docs, but this is practically unusable on iPad Mini 1st gen. I know it is not the latest device, but Microsoft Word works great - writing is really smooth, while in Docs I sometimes type the whole word until it appears on screen. This makes me create document in Word which is not that great in terms of managing files, and in general - I want to work only on Google apps. Please take this into consideration.
