Terrible. Find an alternative. This app is unusably slow on an iPad Air 2. When I need to select one or two paragraphs of text and either delete or copy it, I have to have something else to do while I wait for the app to catch up. For that reason, it’s unbearably slow if you have any basic text editing to do at all. And this is all without special fonts or formatting, and without pictures, etc. We’re talking plain RTF. I can’t imagine what would happen if you tried to include a company logo in the document or something. It might just make the iPad implode...

I needed this to email my friends about the new I’m gonna be depressed about and probably crying in class.. our teacher is never coming back and we’re getting a new one.. I miss my teacher already! She was so nice :c I can’t say good bye to her so I might email her! I have her email in my school account

I am able to edit the document on my iPad Pro, its confusing when i save the document , to docs or pdf. I can not open the document and edit. It’s not working for m on my iPad Pro.

Extremely easy to use ; hence I use it a whole lot for many different projects, couldn’t be happier ❤️

I love this app! I used to write at home on my laptop, but now I can write when Im at work, at Starbucks, basically anywhere. If Im feeling inspired I can start writing within seconds. Its also great that you have the option to work offline as well.

So easy to use! I run everything off Docs now!

Its pretty gat

When I was making tables on my Ipad, I couldn’t find the merge cells icon. So I have to do it on my laptop where I can merge cells. You should give an upgrade so I can merge cells on my Ipad.

I really require, as do many other people, the abulity to copy/paste segments of the work that is being done. It is very crucial to repeticious data input or segregation of documents. 1 STAR because the app editors need to read this. AND CHANGE. I will keep adding 1 star when i can to get my point across.

The app works well; I dont have any real complaints with it.

I use the Google Docs on my iPad Pro and my iPhone 6S Plus. On the former, the standard gamut of shortcuts that have been utilized in Word and Pages for years function on Google Docs about 50% of the time. Sometimes Command-Alt-Shift-Up will take you up one paragraph, other times it will take you to the top of the document. As someone who frequently edits shared documents, the frequency with which I am tossed up to the top of my document when I’m merely looking to hop up one paragraph is infuriating. I now resort to working on Pages on my iPad, then copying and pasting in - Pages is exponentially more functional that Docs and possess a significantly wider feature set. While I don’t expect full desktop functionality, this app seems like it was programmed 10 years ago. No ability to view word count as you type (of course no one wants to keep track of their word count...), when someone else makes changes to a shared document, you can’t view their changes some of the time - it shows up “hidden suggestion.” You can’t view equation fonts. The zoom feature is horrendous. That’s right. The zoom feature. The missing features are numerous and inescapable to anyone doing any serious work. It’s a shame This app, compared to Word and Pages, is the proverbial dog’s breakfast. If Pages is Wolfgang Puck then Google Docs is a pile of tinfoil in a microwave with a 20-minute timer set.

I believe that there is always room for important, but what this app has to offer is quite convenient. Editing offline is a nice feature because I can edit anything anywhere. Its convenient things like this that make it a good app

Its great Ive had no problems.

It is great how your work is transferred to the cloud and accessible off any device with drive. I mostly use docs but the other parts of drive are also great. It is my favorite writing app by far only rivaled by Notability. I also like how you can work offline and then it loads once you connect to Wifi. I wish there are custom page options for color and other stuff like that. But it is a great app!???

I love typing stories in it!! Its so helpful!! It makes me love writing so much more!!?

I’m unable to highlight a word and choose “Look up”

I am always going to and from school and my laptop’s battery dies before I get there, losing me all my things. Therefore, I always leave it at home. Here’s where docs comes in. When I get to school, I’m expected to have all my documents on hand, so I use docs, as you can access your docs on any computer that you can sign in to with your gmail account. This is a very useful tool for me. Thanks Google!
